Oi!
I’m Carolina — a visual development artist and award-winning children’s book illustrator from the sunny north of Brazil, now living (and layering up!) in lovely London, UK.
I began my career in the fashion industry, holding a degree in Fashion from my home country, Brazil, and a Master’s from IED Milano. For nearly 10 years, I designed for branding, prints, patterns, and all sorts of stylish things — but eventually, my sketchbook full of little characters and daydreams took over.
Since then, I’ve studied character design at Pictoplasma Academy (Berlin), earned a new Master’s in Visual Development Art at IDEA Academy (Italy), studied Costume Design for film with the amazing Phil Boute Jr. (USA), and recently wrapped up the Pathways into Picture Books course with Pop-up.org in London (UK).
I love creating diverse, playful and heartfelt art, and I’m always up for new creative adventures!
